The Easy-Bake oven came out in 1963 and kids have been making weird stuff in them ever since. They are fun, safe and cool (figuratively and literally). I'm not sure that you couldn't just do away with the light bulb and let your recipe bake/dry inside the oven for awhile and get similar results. A great Christmas present for your future chef.
