Summer Flowers

I took a walk on this nice sunny day and brought along my very basic, pixelly-challenged, old digital camera. There are lots of flowers in bloom so I didn't have any trouble finding things to photograph. I took 94 pictures in no time at all.

I put the fourteen I liked best here.

They are almost all photographs of flowers, along with a few ants and a couple of types of bees.

The one on the right is a glass piece I bought from the artist at the Everett Sorticulture Art and Garden Show last weekend. It blends nicely with the sky today. It reminds me of flowing water. It's on top of a piece of copper pipe stuck in some yellow lillies in my back yard.

It was, and is, a really nice day today in Everett.

Tulips Are In Bloom

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs from April 1st to April 30th and the tulips are currently in bloom.

This is a link to some pictures I took a couple of years ago.

Head to Mt. Vernon, Conway, La Conner in Western Washington for some of the most vibrant and spectacular colored fields of tulips you can imagine.

I was amazed the first time I saw them. The tulip festival is a great place to take pictures of the kids, or paint, have lunch or just take a nice slow drive.

Here's a picture I took years ago of a couple of cuties in the tulip fields -

Wishing you a restful and refreshing weekend.

As always

Jack
