From Freud to Frankl

Dr. C. George Boeree, a professor in the Psychology Department at Shippensburg University located in Shippensburg, PA. has a great resource available on his website called Personality Theories.

He has included clearly written, interesting, summaries of the work for some of psychology's great writers and thinkers of the 20th century, including,

Sigmund Freud
Anna Freud
Erik Erikson
Carl Jung
Otto Rank
Alfred Adler
Karen Horney
Albert Ellis
Erich Fromm
B. F. Skinner
Hans Eysenck and others
Albert Bandura
Gordon Allport
George Kelly
Snygg and Combs
Abraham Maslow
Carl Rogers
Ludwig Binswanger
Medard Boss
Viktor Frankl
Rollo May
Jean Piaget
Sociobiology
Buddhist Psychology
The Ultimate Theory of Personality

I gound the site in a backwards sort of way while reading about Hugh Prather the author of Notes to Myself: My Struggle to Become a Person. Prather was a student of Carl Rogers. Thirty years ago I thought Prather's book was pretty good - I'd have to read it again to see if it still resonates. You might find it interesting.

p.s. I noticed that Hugh Prather's book is on the S.F.Heart's reading list for wannabe hippies which probably explains why I was reading it 30 some years ago. Those were some groovy times man.
