"Ronald Reagan's first official acts of office included removing Jimmy Carter's solar panels from the roof of the White House, and reversing most of Carter's conservation and alternative energy policies."We all know there hasn't been a President or Congress since then willing to address these issues. I think the lesson is that in 1977, an intelligent independent Democrat was willing to tell the American people the truth and stand up to the special interest groups. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will elect another President like that on November 4th.
